Previous Drawings

Hey there! I've just gotten a chance to take photos of some drawings I've done in the past, but have never been able to post. It's a pretty eclectic collection, but I hope you enjoy my previous drawings. :)

A drawing of how I picture Puddleglum the Marshwiggle, from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair. I know it's not totally accurate, but I like it :)

A Zentangle drawing of the Mockingjay logo

Arthur/Wart from the Sword in the Stone.

Random sketch I drew of a squid while I was doing research on them.

 Painting of a bird

Malcom Merlin from Arrow - doesn't look the best, because I didn't take a long time on it.

Random drawing of a dog in battle armor.

Quick sketch of Biblo finding the One Ring

Eomer - Rider of Rohan

Emma Frost from the X-Men

Just a few drawing of some dragons, inspired by Skyrim.

Hope you enjoyed this super long post! ;) Thanks for reading all the way through if you made it this far! I'll be uploading a lot more photos soon, so stay tuned! As always, feel free to give constructive feedback on my photos, and please share my blog.

Practicing Watercolor Painting

Hey there! Recently, I've been experimenting and practicing watercolor painting. I'm not really great at it, but it's an attempt ;) Well, here they are!

Bamboo! While this is a bit basic, I still like it.

Just a little sparrow :) I really like all of the speckles on the wings.

While this one is pretty simple, I still really like it. I love how the yellows and browns contrast with the bright pink and pale blue. I'm happy with how the beak turned out as well.

A peacock - I love the colors that I used, but I'm a bit disappointed with the tail. I wish the colors hadn't run into each other as much.  Maybe next time, it'll be a bit better.

And, of course, I couldn't do a watercolor painting without doing something geeky! Wolverine! :)

Hope you've enjoyed my work! :) Sorry some of the pictures were a bit blurry. As always, comment below for feedback and share my blog! Thanks to all of those who read my blog - I've had 4,300+ visitors to my blog!

Rory the Roman

Hey there! :) I know I haven't posted anything - again - for months now, but I just finished this drawing and wanted to share it. Thank you for taking a look at my blog! I now have over 4,000 page views! Anyway, here's my drawing:

Rory Williams, from Doctor Who! I've been rewatching the old Doctor Who episodes, and decided to draw the Last Centurion. Originally, I had thought about including the Pandorica and/or Amy in the background, but I decided I just wanted the focus to be on him. I couldn't quite get his face drawn right either... I think it's because we see him without the helmet the majority of the time, in the series, and so the helmet obstructs characteristics (for example, his hair) that we're used to seeing.

Anyway, thank you for taking a look at my blog! As always, any feedback you have on my art, as to how it can be improved, are appreciated. :)

Mini-Mural: Dragon - Completed!

Hello everyone! :) I apologize for not having posted anything in quite a long time. I just recently completed a mural of a dragon, and I think it looks really cool!

As you can see, I painted this mural over a door frame and was able to use the door frame to create a more 3-D look. I painted the tail and the claw directly on it, but in a way that it would look like it joined with the other parts of the mural seamlessly from any angle.

I thought a bright green would be a great contrasting color for the eye, in order for it to stand out. It turned out well!

To create the pile of gold the dragon is guarding, I used a metallic gold paint for the base. Once that was dry, I used a bright yellow for the gold pieces. I took a very small paint brush, and made small semi circles with the bright yellow paint. That way, when light shines on the painting, the gold background is lit up, but the yellow details add definition to the painting.

Hope you have enjoyed my blog! :) Thank you very much!  Please comment and share!
