MegaCon 2013

Hey everyone! For those of you who have stuck with my blog posts from the beginning, you may remember that I went to a event called MegaCon last year. After meeting several of the actors, I drew portraits of two of the actor's characters. (Pics from last year below.)

Peter Jurasik holding a drawing of his character, Londo Mollari, from Babylon 5.

Stephen Furst holding a drawing of his character, Vir Cotto, from Babylon 5.

This year, MegaCon had the full cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I was able to give almost everyone a drawing of them as their character from the show. I was unable to take a picture of Patrick Stewart holding a drawing of the Pharaoh from The Prince of Egypt (he was the voice actor for the character), because of the fact that there were easily over 50 people in line waiting for his autograph.

He really like my drawing though, and recognized the character! :) Great weekend, great people, great time! Here are the pictures I took of the other stars who let me take a pic of the holding my drawing!

This is Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher) with my drawing. She wasn't allowed to pose and hold up my drawing like the other actors were.  (Sorry that the pic is a bit blurry and hard to see - the lighting was really bad, and I had to take this pic with a cell.)

Jonathan Frakes (William Riker) holding a drawing of a character he did the voice of in a TV animated series.

John Delancie (Q) with a cartoon version of his character.

Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar/Sela) holding my drawing of her character/characters.

Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) holding a my cartoon version of his character. (The lighting/flash was really bad here too...)

Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi) holding a cartoon version of her character.

Michael Dorn (Worf) holding the drawing I did of his character.

Thank you all so much for reading my blog! I really appreciate it! :)

Comic Book Black Widow

Hey there everyone! :) Just finished a drawing of the comic book version of Black Widow

I've been trying to experiment with different background styles and designs in my drawings.

Note: I do not own the copy-written character above!!

Great Crafting Idea! :D

Hey everyone!! :) Today, I wanted to share this really cool product I found! It's called RoseArt Color Blanks. These are little blank figures, that come with special markers. You draw the designs that you want on them, color them the way you want, etc.

They... are... AWESOME!!! Here are some examples of some I've done.

OF COURSE I had to draw the Avengers ;) I will be making the X-Men if I can find any more!

Black Widow, Captain America, and Thor; I made cardboard wings for Thor's helmet! :)

Thor, Iron Man, and Hawkeye; I made the comic book version of Hawkeye because the color combination was brighter and more recognizable.

Of course, you can have heroes without a villain LOL Loki, the Hulk, and Black Widow; I also made cardboard horns for Loki's helmet like what I did for Thor's helmet.

Thanks for reading! :) Please share my blog!

Note: I do not own any copy-written characters above, or any copy-written materials listed above; I am in no way affiliated with Rose Art or own any products by said company!!

Most Recent Drawings

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I updated anything! These are my most recent drawings.

I have been trying to add backgrounds to the comic book characters I draw, so that there is a better understanding about where they are and what't going on
This is a drawing of Night-Crawler from the X-Men. As you can see, he is on a ledge in the midst of a city.

A drawing I did of the Lonely Mountain from the Hobbit. This is a free-handed drawing, and took inspiration from the 1977 version of the Lonely Mountain, and some of the previews that were given of what the mountain and cities looked like in the live action movie.

Close-up of the text. I took the design for this mountain, straight out of the map that is in the actual book!

Close up of Lake Town, and the main entrance to the dwarven city in the Lonely Mountain.

Thanks for reading everyone!!! Please share my blog with others! :)
