Avengers Themed Shirts

Recently I have been wanting to create some t-shirts that are Avengers themed. I have created some designs of what I am planning to do. What I will be doing is getting black t-shirts, and then then creating the designs that are on the shirts with sequins or using a "Bedazzler"type item.

I will probably be changing the font to be clearer. As you can see the words will be in green, and then there will also be the staff Loki has in the Avengers.

The blue on the shirt is going to look like lighting is coming from Mjolnir.

The circle on the shirt is supposed to be the arc reactor that Tony Stark/Iron Man uses.

Can't wait to start on this new project! :) Thanks for reading!

Kingdom Hearts Post 2

It's been a while since I have drawn any characters from Kingdom Hearts, but I've finally started drawing them again.

From Organization XIII, I drew the characters Axel and Saix.

As well I also drew the character Kairi. This drawing is from Kingdom Hearts 2 where Kairi is grown up.

The reason the shading is the way it is, is because this is supposed during sunset. In Kingdom Hearts there are a lot of scenes on a beach during sunset. I really wanted to kind of get that across.

I'm going to be be drawing some more Kingdom Hearts and Disney character in the near future.

Avengers - Loki

I wanted to draw another Avengers character, and so I chose the character I have been having the most trouble drawing: Loki.

This is from the opening scene in the Avengers, where Loki first appears in the shield base looking for the Tesseract. The lighting in this picture is very dark and low, which is why there is so much shading on the side of the nose and his head.

Costuming

Not only do I like to draw, but I also do some sewing occasionally. The next thing that I plan on sewing is a medieval outfit inspired by the character, Queen Ravenna, from the movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

Queen Ravenna
I loved the costuming that was done in this movie!

As you can see, these costumes incorporate a lot of metallic accents, which is what I would like to do with my costume.

I am using a pattern, so the dress is based on that, however I added my own elements to the design, such as the color scheme, the sleeves, and also the jewelry accents that will be on the dress itself.

In the photo of my drawing, you see a color key to indicate what materials will go where on the dress. The places that read "main fabric" and "gray silk" will have these materials there (the black and silver fabric, being the main fabric and the gray silk being just that.)

It will take me a while to complete this, as it is not only a very complex design, but also involves buying a lot of materials. My goal is to start on this project in the next few months.

Thank you for reading! :) Please comment on my blog, and share it with others!

Mural Ideas

I'm trying to choose colors for the background of my murals.

So far, these are some color ideas that I've found.

I'm not sure I'll be painting Storm and Spider Man, however, I will finish painting Iron Man, Thor and Loki, and also Captain America.

A lot of these colors, especially the blue, purple, and yellow will contrast with the character's outfits. Each wall will be painted a different color.

Comics... Again :)

I haven't been able to draw very often lately, however, I do have some new drawings.

These are the characters Emma Frost and Namor.

Thank you for reading! :) I should be able to draw more often in the near future.

The Phoenix!

I just finished drawing the Phoenix from the Avengers vs. X-Men comics.

I drew this with pencil, then drew over it with dark orange Sharpie. I then took black Sharpie and "colored" there you see the black. I went over the dark orange lines again, with the same orange color, to make the outline bolder. Then I used lighter orange Sharpie around that, colored in the rest with yellow marker, and then created distinct shading with Prismacolor colored pencils.

Murals: Marvel Edition - Stage 4

The second Marvel mural that I will be painting after I finish Iron Man, is the mural that has the comic book version or Thor and Loki fighting on it.

As you can see, I am done with drawing Loki, except for is left hand and also making adjustments to his helmet. I am now working on drawing Thor, and should get a lot done today and tomorrow.

This is a view from the right side of the mural. The quality of these photos are very poor, because I could not use the flash without getting a lot of glare in the photo, so I had use a photo editing program.

Another side view. These photos do not show the entire picture, as I had to get really close for the camera to "see" the pencil marks.

I'm really looking forward to working on this mural, as it will be stretching over all the wall. The wall is at least 12 feet long, and 6 feet high, so working on a mural that will span that entire area will be a challenge, but it will also be very fun! :)

Hope I will be able to post photos of the completed mural (without paint, just pencil) soon!

Murals: Marvel Edition - Stage 3

More progress has been made on my murals! :)

Because the paint is so thin, I've had to apply several different coats, taking me longer to paint this.

To add to the painting, once I'm done with all the other coats, and I have a solid coat of red, without any spaces showing, I plan to take a thin coat of metallic gold paint to the yellow areas, and a thin coat of metallic red paint to the red areas. This will create the look and shine that metal has/

As well, I am going to try and find clear glow in the dark paint, to add to the eyes, his hands, and also the arc reactor in his chest, so that when the lights are off in the room, even though I'm painting the comic book version, it will be like in the movie, where his eyes are glowing. (Example below)

I have not been able to paint very much, due to the extreme temperatures outside. Because I am painting on the door, I cannot have the door open to allow air to flow in from the rest of the house. So, in order to keep the paint fumes from building up in a small area, I have to have the windows open.

This is difficult to do, as the temperatures outside are reaching well above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, causing the entire house to heat up when the windows are open, as well as force the air conditioner to work harder.

I hope to be able to paint again at some point soon, so I can finish this mural, and begin to work on others.

My Latest Drawings

I haven't been able to post many pictures lately, but I have finally found some time to do so!

This is a close up drawing of an eagle's eye. I really wanted the viewer to focus in on the sharpness of the eye, and all of the detail.

This is not one of my best drawings but I did enjoy drawing it. The shape of the horse's eye was surprisingly very difficult to achieve.

I drew this drawing for someone I know on their birthday. I think it turned out pretty well, and they really liked it.

I'll be posting some more pictures of my murals, and also a picture of the Phoenix I'm drawing. Thanks for reading! :)
